Ginger Danz
Ginger is a full-time Mom and artist living in Fayetteville, WV with her husband, daughter, two cats, one dog and three fish. Having juried into Tamarack in 2010, Ginger's work was selected for the “Best of Tamarack” juried exhibition in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Her acrylic painting of the Cathedral Cafe in Fayetteville, was selected for inclusion in Tamarack's 2012 “Best of Tamarack” calendar.
Ginger enjoys the multi-sensory experience of painting, especially the buttery texture and warm vibrant colors of acrylic paints, and layers color and texture to achieve depth in her paintings. She also experiments with recycled materials, anything from phone book pages and ordinary household items to her own paintings. Her mixed media depiction of the New River Gorge in Fayetteville was chosen as the official poster for Bridge Day, 2011.
In addition to Tamarack, Ginger's work is on display in several West Virginia galleries, including Studio B in Fayetteville and Art Emporium in Charleston. Her work can also be viewed at www.gingerdanz.com.
